Appropriately many of us are thinking about and interacting with father figures today. Today, we view them as wise and caring, but we can't help but remember some unfortunate events, and that is tainting the view right now. As much as there is respect, there are also nagging issues causing us to dwell on imperfections. Try not to focus on this. It's totally unproductive. We're all human and we make mistakes. Many are reflecting on the parent/child, student/teacher relationship we've had with this person. Often the teacher learns as much as the student. There is a feeling of a loss of control today, as well as a need to exert control over things which we don't have the right to. Some things really just are out of our control, and we need to accept that. Don't dwell on it.
